About Us

A day to bring the many cultures and communities of the Okanagan together to have fun, dance, and share amazing foods and stories – just like they do it in the Caribbean!

Now in its 8th year, the Okanagan Caribbean festival is a unique event in the Okanagan bringing together the ever-growing community of Caribbean’s now making their home in the Okanagan. With heritage spanning across 700 islands and 12 bordering countries the tastes and sounds are unsurpassed by any other festival.

What’s on

Come and meet other Caribbean’s living in the Okanagan! If you are up for a dance, we have bands and DJ’s both local and from across Canada playing Caribbean favourites with a healthy dose of new sounds thrown in throughout the day. Merchants from across BC will be selling Jerk Chicken, Rice & Peas and other Caribbean treats. Come along and give the limbo dance a go, try the steel drums or jazz it up with our Zumba group. There is something for the whole family.

Getting Here

Held in the central location of The City Park in Kelowna, near the Sand Volleyball Courts and a few metres from the beach, the festival enjoys a lakefront venue surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. Kelowna is usually bathing in hot sunny weather during the festival, adding to the ambience of the Caribbean many of us have come to know.
